Gerd Mueller - legend in German football (Early life & Club career)

Gerd Mueller was an amazing player with unique shooting skills and amazingly good luck under the opponent's goal. Legend of Bayern Munich (in which he played in 1964-1979) and the German national team (1966-1974). He was born on November 3, 1945 in Nördlingen, Germany.The senior career he started at TSV 1861 Nördlingen, where he undoubtedly shone, which is confirmed by the fact that in the 1963-64 season he scored 51 goals in 31 games for this team. That's unbelievable! His achievement was noticed by Bayern Munich, where he moved in the next season.Together with the new team he started the season in the second German league, which later proved to have won and promoted to the Bundesliga (the first German league). Gerd scored 33 goals that season, helping the team in promotion. Since then, Gerd Mueller has become recognizable. He won four Bundesliga Championships (1969,1972,1973,1974), three German Cups (1966,1967,1969,1971), three European Cups (1974, 1975, 1976) and scored 398 goals in 453 matches. At the end of his career he moved to two smaller clubs, maintaining his excellent shooting form. One of them was the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the United States, where he spent 2 full years, scoring 38 goals in 71 appearances. The other was the Smiths Brothers Lounge where he spent the last year of his career, scoring 33 goals in 42 games.

    Did you omit on purpose the fact that he won the 1974 World Cup with Germany (after winning the semi-final with Poland) ?

What do we learn about modern society in this film?

In the film, we certainly have evidence of what contemporary societies are disfigured and duplicitous. It focuses only on self-interest, not paying attention to others and sometimes even hurting them. In really many everyday situations, people pretend, who they really are, what they plan and what they think ... they also are ashamed to admit that they often escape from the problem they may encounter. In a certain form, we had such situations shown in the film.
