Gerd Mueller was an amazing player with unique shooting skills and amazingly good luck under the opponent's goal. Legend of Bayern Munich (in which he played in 1964-1979) and the German national team (1966-1974). He was born on November 3, 1945 in Nördlingen, Germany. The
senior career he started at TSV 1861 Nördlingen, where he undoubtedly shone,
which is confirmed by the fact that in the 1963-64 season he scored 51
goals in 31 games for this team. That's unbelievable! His achievement was noticed by Bayern Munich, where he moved in the next season.Together
with the new team he started the season in the second German league,
which later proved to have won and promoted to the Bundesliga (the first
German league). Gerd scored 33 goals that season, helping the team in promotion. Since then, Gerd Mueller has become recognizable. He
won four Bundesliga Championships (1969,1972,1973,1974), three German
Cups (1966,1967,1969,1971), three European Cups (1974, 1975, 1976) and
scored 398 goals in 453 matches. At the end of his career he moved to two smaller clubs, maintaining his excellent shooting form. One
of them was the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the United States, where he
spent 2 full years, scoring 38 goals in 71 appearances. The other was the Smiths Brothers Lounge where he spent the last year of his career, scoring 33 goals in 42 games.
The rest of his history will appear soon...

One post about one footballer is enough.
OdpowiedzUsuńDid you omit on purpose the fact that he won the 1974 World Cup with Germany (after winning the semi-final with Poland) ?
How will his carrere look like if he was hired by other club than Bayern Munchin? Do you think it will look similar or completly diffrent?
OdpowiedzUsuńSo you say that Bayern owes its rise in the ranks to this guy? That's really interesting, I'd never think about it by myself.
