Eric Cantona was born in France on
May 24, 1966. He started his junior career at the club relatively late, as he
was 13 at the local team - SO Les Caillols. But two years later, he moved to AJ Auxerre. After next two years, he broke through from the
junior Auxerre to the senior squad and spent the next five years there. In 1987 he started playing for France and in
1988 he changed club to Marseille. He had a very explosive character, what also revealed on a football field. In one of the interviews he openly
criticized the French coach, and it caused him to be removed from the national
team for one year. Later, Eric came to two different clubs: Bordeaux
(1989) and Montpellier (1989-1990). After this time, he moved to Leeds United.
In England he managed to find himself and in the same year (1992) he won the
England Championship with Leeds. At the end of his career he moved to Manchester United
(where he played in 1992-1997). Until 1995 everything was good, but during one of the matches, after receiving a red card, the
fans began to grumble on him, and he, due to his temper, made an angry kick of
one of the fans. After this incident, he was disciplined to 120 hours of social
work. Still, he returned to playing, continued to
win trophies with Manchester and the fans loved him again. In total he scored for United 64 goals in 143 matches. Carieer ended quite quickly, as he was 30, and
later he became an actor.
Ferenc Pusk á s was one of the biggest football stars of the Hungarians in the last century. He was born on 2 April 1927 in Budapest, Hungary, and grew up outside of Budapest in Kispest. Already as a 16-year-old he had his senior debut at Kispest AC, (mainly because his dad was a coach). His father, from his young years, strongly encouraged him to play football. Finally he won five Hungarian championships with this team(1949-1955) and became the best scorer from Europe with 50 goals (it was 1948). At the age of 18, he had his debut in the senior team in Hungary, scoring his first goal against Austria. Ferenc was a striker with extraordinary agility, control of the ball and an amazing left foot. All his skills contributed to the fact that he joined Real Madrid (1958). There he continued his career, where together with Alfredo di Stefano (the second phenomenal striker) created a dream duo.
