Reflection

Are older people certainly not able to afford a bit of madness and take on challenges? Of course they can, and even that would be advisable. Well, I'm talking about this topic because recently I saw a large group of elderly ladies and gentlemen (between 70 and 90 years old) on TV as they appeared in the "Got Talent" programme. They began to sing the song, what they created and they flurried everyone, the whole audience began to enjoy and smile. Their performance was really cool and with an idea. But most importantly, these people showed courage, desire and enthusiasm in spite of their age. However, I think about why many older people are closing in themselves and not being active too much. Not once I heard from people like that, why they have to do something more and that they are too old. Even from young people, I sometimes hear comments like: "What did these old people come here to do this in this age on stage?" Perhaps as the younger, we should open the door for the older ones more, so that they can feel more comfortable in more aspects of life? After all, age cannot limit us in achieving our goals.

  1. Wow, thanks for this! This tone is so different from the typical young people's complaints about old ladies pushing through on busses and forcing them to give up their seats.

  2. I agree with you, age cannot limit us in achieving our goals, it's really great when older people decide to realise their passions or dreams, for example travelling to foreign countries and running marathons. Few weeks ago I saw on TV the "Seniors's parade" and I could only smile when I heard these people talking about their active lives, passions and achieving their goals.

Ferenc Puskás - the best Hungarian footballer in history.

Ferenc Pusk á s was one of the biggest football stars of the Hungarians in the last century. He was born on 2 April 1927 in Budapest, Hungary, and grew up outside of Budapest in Kispest. Already as a 16-year-old he had his senior debut at Kispest AC, (mainly because his dad was a coach). His father, from his young years, strongly encouraged him to play football. Finally he won five Hungarian championships with this team(1949-1955) and became the best scorer from Europe with 50 goals (it was 1948). At the age of 18, he had his debut in the senior team in Hungary, scoring his first goal against Austria. Ferenc was a striker with extraordinary agility, control of the ball and an amazing left foot. All his skills contributed to the fact that he joined Real Madrid (1958). There he continued his career, where together with Alfredo di Stefano (the second phenomenal striker) created a dream duo. During his nine-year career in Madrid he has won 5 National Championships and 3 European Cups, a

What do we learn about modern society in this film?

In the film, we certainly have evidence of what contemporary societies are disfigured and duplicitous. It focuses only on self-interest, not paying attention to others and sometimes even hurting them. In really many everyday situations, people pretend, who they really are, what they plan and what they think ... they also are ashamed to admit that they often escape from the problem they may encounter. In a certain form, we had such situations shown in the film.
